Review of Somers Town (2008) by Steve A — 12 Jul 2008
Another solid effort from Meadows, who is getting more assured with his approach. Thomas Turgoose proves that he has enormous range and versatilaty as an actor, even at such a young age. Nice and clean B&W cinematography helps keep a grungy, backyard feel to the whole thing.
Funny, bittersweet realist drama that almost borders on laugh-out-loud comedy at times.
