Review of Some Velvet Morning (2013) by Jin T — 26 Apr 2014
I never been to any film festival but I would love to someday. But Vudu has us where we can taste the films right at the comfort of our home. Before, the movie was only available to rent, which is ridiculous because I really like the actress, Alice Eve and who can forget Stanley Tucci's performance in Captain America: The First Avenger, that he did so well.
The two team up together here in a movie that takes place in the house of Velvet. The movie throws me off so many times, especially at the very end but it makes me wonder if Alice Eve's character really enjoy what she does in her life.
Actually, it makes me wonder how the kind of thing that happens in the movie is anyone's comfort of living. The acting, to me at least, is very, very good. I guess that's one of the things I aim for in movies but I mean, who doesn't? It may be boring to most but I'm attractive to these kind of movies where it doesn't require of any fancy special effects or anything to make the movie great.
Sometimes, you have to be aware that making movies like this, even back then is what makes the movie special in a whole different meaning and that meaning is memorable.
