Review of Some Mother's Son (1996) by Vania P — 25 Nov 2007
The Irish really know how to do their dramas. A great performance is delivered by all in the cast, especially Helen Mirren and Aidan Gillen. The story of Bobby Sands and the hunger strikers is powerful in itself, but to see it immortalized in this film makes it all the more dramatic, stunning, and unbelievable.
Overall, this is a very good film to watch if you're in a particularly depressed or dramatic mood.
