Review of Some Like It Hot (1959) by Jard M — 29 Feb 2012
One of, if not, the best comedy I have ever seen. What works so well about 'Some Like It Hot' is that it's humour is tame and non-offensive to anyone, it has a very broad appeal that anyone should be able to enjoy.
Despite the fact that it's tame, it's still damn funny, with each of the cast doing a top job, especially Jack Lemmon, who I couldn't help but somewhat feel sorry for. It's funny because it feels like Jack Lemmon plays 2 different characters and Tony Curtis plays 3 different characters.
Let's also not forget that Marilyn Monroe is charming as ever in this. Some Like It Hot is definitly a classic comedy, that should appeal to just about everyone.
