Review of Some Like It Hot (1939) by George B — 23 Jul 2010
Another extremely delightful and entertaining classic from Wilder. With the strong acting team by Monroe, Curtis and Lemmon, this is a comedy that set the bar but has hardly been surpassed by most yet.
The cross-gender role play still remains as a highly interesting theme. Hollywood probably still isn't ready for the Homosexual hint, but Wilder made it accessible to all even in the 50's.
