Review of Some Like It Hot (1939) by David M — 06 Feb 2011
Classic Billy Wilder cross-dressing farcical comedy, there's a reason this film is regularly voted as one of the best comedies of all time.
Curtis, Lemmon and Monroe are all on top form throughout, and the film is packed with plenty of throw-away lines and one-liners. The best bit, however, has to be Tiny Curtis proving that he can out-Carey Grant Carey Grant himself, in the beach scene and later on board the yacht!
