This was essentially the exact same movie as Pretty in Pink, only with the roles reversed. That said, it was still good and worthwhile, even if Eric Stoltz was flat as the lead. At least in this one, they had the right ending.
Perhaps it was Hughes' do-over for the forced ending change of Pretty in Pink?
