Review of Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) by Adrian S — 08 Feb 2011
80s fashion is awful. And I can't get past the notion of Mary Stuart Masterson as a tomboy. But there's much to like about the 3 characters, which are all well fleshed out, and the depictions of class divide in school.
There's the lanky outcast (Eric Stoltz), the white trash who hangs out with 'coolio and gang' to look cool (Lea Thompson) and the dedicated tomboyish drummer who nurses a secret crush (Masterson).
