Review of Some Kind of Wonderful (1987) by Jonny C — 09 Aug 2009
Too fucking predictable, especially considering the fact that despite the short hair, I thought Mary Stuart Masterson was hella prettier than Lea Thompson. It was cool to see Eric Stoltz be a good guy for once, though, and not just a sleazy douchebag.
I also dug seeing a pre-'Full House' Candace Cameron Bure. Didn't really like John Ashton and thought his subplot was kind of unnecessary but that's counter-balanced by Elias Koteas being awesome and coming through for Keith in the end.
All in all, it's a decent enough flick. Just not as good as I'd hoped.
