With Barry Bostwick playing the funniest character of his career and Dawn from the Office bringing toned-down warmth and sincerity to her role as the protagonist's love interest, this film is a pleasant surprise overall.

Kudos to its treatment of the fragility of recovery from clinical depression. It examines the dangers to sociability of bottled up fear, anger and love, how this perpetuates mental illness and how alternative perspectives gained through simple interaction with others can help a person see the merit in saving their own life.

Really good.
