Review of Solomon Kane (2009) by Lysann B — 02 Jul 2010
'I was never more at home than I was at battle.' Wasn't sure how to take this from its Bram Strokage Dracula-esque intro. Was this guy good or bad or redeeming? Classic actors Postelthwaite & van sydow gave this flick more credibility than it deserved.
Wasn't sure if I was watching Hugh Jackoff as van Boceee or Robert Carlyle in Ravenous which was a pretty solid flick. Still, I remained indifferent to liking the movie but it kept me interested enough to keep watching to the end.
I think it was in hope that Meredith would lose her 'innocence'.. maybe next time. Has abit of everything, murder, action, magic and even it's own Balrog had me yelling 'You Shall not PASS!'.
