Review of Solomon Kane (2009) by Volo M — 22 Jul 2010
Robin Hood goes LotR.
Some nice visual effects mainly in picturing the scenery and better-than-average dialogue in the beginning, but so utterly plotless and predictable, that even the action genre face-palms in shame. And at the same time so overly dramatic that it's actually funny.
I'd really like to see Rachel Hurd-Wood as a heroine, since always seeing her as the maiden in distress feels dull. But my dog she has a good looking brother, not hard to notice that they're siblings.
