Review of Solomon Kane (2009) by Phle B — 25 Aug 2010
James Purefoy is a favourite of mine, and he does alright here. It felt a little underwhelming, though, as if they wanted the scope to be bigger. It seems like it was a small movie, not a big box office draw, but it was well done.
I think the whole 'my soul is damned to hell' thing should've been reinforced and made to seem more real, as if it was more than just something in Kane's head, or his opinion.
