Review of Solomon Kane (2009) by Josiah N — 27 Sep 2012

This movie was almost everything I hoped for, and more than I expected, honestly. The mood was good, though not as good as it could have been. The effects, too were very nice for the budget of the film.

The only thing I really questioned was the final scene, which I believe was an over-reach on the part of the director for the budget that they had available. Either do it right, or don't do it when it comes to effects, imo.

Overall a very enjoyable film, and I would hope to see the sequels as this was a good treatment of the original material.
