Review of Solomon Kane (2009) by Elian D — 09 Sep 2013
Though it doesn't "look" like a low-budget film (except for the final mess), it sure feels like one. It starts off fairly well, and most of it is pretty good, though characters have no clear motives for anything, and the "if you save the girl, you save your soul" is one of the "stupidest" conditions to undo a damnation.
The last fight is the biggest disappointment. It looks as if they didn't know what to do with the story, gave up, and just said "you fight and kill it and the girl is saved and everyone lives happily ever after".
Could have been better.
