Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Skip S — 30 May 2018

Just saw Solo...the blow-back is hilarious. TLJ was a failure, too? Please. I sat through Ewoks, Jar Jar, Hayden Christensen and Lucas story arcs....that's what failure looks like.

The problem I see with Solo? it has nice scenes, but in general, it's written for a younger audience and that makes it painfully predictable. Plus, the unremarkable soundtrack is never far behind every single scene.

If you wanted Solo to be a western, than go for it. It would've worked fine, It lacks the more mature themes of TLJ or Rogue One. They were afraid to be too heavy with this one., and that's too bad. A little heavier drama would have made the lighter moments really shine.
