Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Bir D — 30 May 2018
It was fine, I guess. It was pretty fun and if it was just a stand alone action movie it would be a fun and forgettable summer romp. As a movie about Han Solo though it was really pointless. He is essentially the same guy at the beginning of this movie as he is at the end and is at the start of A New Hope.
You get a lot of answers to questions you probably didn't care about or that were more fun as questions, but nothing that adds any depth to his character or any weight to the other movies. It's very safe and cliche, which I guess if you didn't like The Last Jedi that might appeal to you.
