Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Richard D — 05 Jun 2018

I liked this ... not a lot ... but I liked this. It's nice that it's a Star Wars film that is not centered on the Empire and the Rebellion, and it's light, unchallenging fun. It has quite a few faults.

It looks awful ... dark, gray, murky and downright ugly. The revolutionary droid characters feels like she comes from an entirely different movie. I find a lot of the silly tie-ins to "Star Wars" and the visual references to the rest of the series to be tiresome, but I guess they are to be expected.

I enjoyed this.
