Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Rick O — 03 Jun 2018

Solo: A Star Wars Story admittedly plays it safe, but it remains a more satisfying film than The Last Jedi, despite that film having some bigger, stand out moments. This prequel stays true to the spirit of the iconic characters it's revisiting, and does so in a rollicking, fun adventure.

However, I could have done without a short scene near the end, which I won't spoil here - I realise it's much beloved in fandom, but to me it felt shoehorned in.
