Review of Solitary Man (2009) by Jeffry J — 07 Jan 2011

This movie could have just been about an incredibly despicable schmuck but Michael Douglas' performance raises the stakes, making the character surprisingly sympathetic. The movie supplies a reason for his actions at the end that I wish had been better integrated into the story earlier, or better yet, maybe not included at all, making it even more challenging to feel anything for him.

But it is a very good movie.
