Note to self, a "Romance, Sci-Fi" movie is not likely to be a good combination. Solaris is a case in point. Yep, there Sci-FI to give you the setup for the romance. The lead character spends most of the movie recalling how he messed-up a relationship all the while he is conversing with an avatar who looks like the lady of his relationship.
Not much interest is given to who, what and how this avatar exists and the movie's resolution is of the relationship not the cause of the avatar. I am a sci-fi guy, I was disappointed.
