Review of Solaris (2002) by Thomas L — 26 May 2008
Still fascinating and deeply thought-provoking in my 3rd watch. Probably too cumbersome & sleep-inducing for the average moviegoers, but I delight myself with the hypnotically-paced plot, unsettling ethical/philosophical questions (albeit only touched superficially due to the short running time), and amazing psychological depth.
The mysterious, minimalist soundtrack is a great plus too. Remains my favourite sci-fi movie next to Contact.
