Review of Solaris (2002) by Rostislav M — 11 Jan 2009
Very touching and profound look at the phenomenons of love and human relations. The Sci-Fi factor is just a background, while the main action happens in Kelvin's mind. I have read the book by Stanislav Lem, and I think it's a masterpiece that coud be interpreded in many ways. The Soderbergh's version is very different from the book in some ways, but still it is close to one of the ideas in the book.
Great acting and vision! One of the best movies in the past 10 years.
