Review of Solaris (2002) by Zack S — 16 Aug 2011

Those who go into Solaris expecting an action film is going to hate it, but then again I think these are the kind of people who just want to be fed non-stop entertainment. Pure ignorance if you ask me.

Rather than see a movie that's thought-provoking, intriguing, and is more about the story and the characters than a bunch of loud, bombastic action. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that.

It's just that we need more films that make us think. Solaris is exactly that kind of film as it's an underrated masterpiece and a real work of art, and one of my favorite movies for sure.
