Review of Solaris (2002) by Shane T — 09 May 2009
I loved this film, but it's totally not for everyone.
It's pacing is a tad deliberate for a 21st century audience, but if ya like moody and psychological films with high artistic value, go for it. If you had the attention span for 2001 or 2010, you'll do just fine. If you appreciated the sentimentality of Eternal Sunshine, don't hesitate.
A word of advice, though: Throw away any expectations you have of a Science Fiction movie... The depths explored herein are not those of space, but of the human psyche. Oooh that was good.
