Review of Solace (2006) by Georgian S — 24 Sep 2015
I was expecting a lot from this, having a psychic twist in a serial killer thriller could of been something special, but it comes off as rather mediocre. Anthony Hopkins is on ok form, but seems to be sleepwalking in most of his scenes.
The supporting cast all seem to be going through the motions in terms of the acting, it seems to be all over the place. At what feels like a 90 minute film the pace does go fast but it leaves you wanting more, I wanted more cat and mouse chase scenes and a lot more action but it seemed like the script writers couldn't think of any more scenarios for the FBI to sink their teeth into.
Speaking of the action, there is one chase scene that is very hard to watch as its edited very poorly and its not exciting enough. An ok film to watch when it comes out on Netflix but its not worth a trip to the cinema.
Save your petrol and money.
