Review of Solace (2006) by Courtney K — 10 Jan 2016
Ah, the movie poster is what draws the crowd because everyone's expecting a reprisal of Hannbial Lecter (that icy stare from old blue eyes) -- and Hopkins does hold his own in this one, but for the young director's second effort this one is awash.
Instead of developing his two main chracters (Hopkins and Cornish), everything just moved way too fast and therefore comes across more like a CSI-/FX- TV thriller episode than what could have been. Watch it for the final Hopkins vs.
Farrell scene and skip the rest.
