The film covers the events through the eyes of the private investigator. throughout the film, I don't see any hard evidence that points to Courtney, but I will say in my opinion, she could have been a part of the cover up, especially to try and keep the 100's of millions that his estate was worth, but the evidence seems to point to this cali guy they all hung with (one of her ex's).
