Review of Snowpiercer (2013) by Luckyyou — 07 Jul 2014

Quick and dirty review. The acting is noticeably odd. Possibly due to a language / culture difference between Boon Joon-ho and the English speaking cast. The dialogue is dull and forced. The story is predictable with action obstacles dressed in weirdness for the sake of weirdness (see: fish-axe).

The lighting, camera, set production, and costume design are actually solid in my opinion, which is why the trailer makes you think it's watchable. I'm actually quite confused by the positive scores.

I watched this with a group of friends of which some were irritated to the point of anger. Overall, this is a complete waste of time.
