Ambitious, exciting, and quite original (in my opinion), Snowpiercer is one of those films that anyone can love or hate. It can go both ways.

A failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors ( Including Curtis played by Chris Evans) board the SNOWPIERCER, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster.

Snowpiercer is one of the most energetic films I have seen this decade. Because it takes place on a train, the movie itself causes me to care about the plot and the characters. A film that is bleak yet enthusiastic, Snowpiercer have that energy from start to finish. When the film slows down, it is still interesting. The reasoning is the acting. The acting from the cast is fantastic. Chris Evans does a excellent job as the main character. The rest of the cast-- Tilda Swinton (as villain #1), John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Song Kang Ho, Go Ah-sung, Octavia Spencer, and Ed Harris (as villain #2) does a phenomenal job as well.

The action is spectacular in every way. Unlike most blockbusters, it doesn't use that shaking cam bullshit or that fast, quick cut editing nonsense to make the action cool. Snowpiercer is everything that the Transformers series (or other terrible blockbusters) should have been-- fun, funny (in a weird way), compelling characters, and action where you can tell what is going on. What makes the action so great is the fact this film has an audacious direction that it took. Not only that, the clever script and wonderful cinematography makes Snowpiercer even better.

If you want go shopping for movies, you should buy Snowpiercer. It is an entertaining dystopian sci-fi in every single way. With strong action, superb performances, brilliant cinematography, and fabulous direction, Snowpiercer is something that everyone should appreciate. I know some people won't like it because it is different than everything that they seen before or it might be too slow for them. It is so sad that some people will see terrible, cliched blockbusters than Snowpiercer any day. However, everyone have their types.

What I'm saying is that everyone should see Snowpiercer because it is exciting, lyrical, and artful (in a good way). Unlike most films, it is very smart. Trust me, you are looking for a delicious treat. After all it is the guy (Joon-ho Bong) who directed The Host from 2007 if you are from the U.S.
