This film/story means so much to me! I've been watching it as a young child ever since I can remember, so watching it today brings back memories of those sweet innocent times and of course memories of England.
It is the most beautiful story, so magical and captivating, makes you look and think twice towards the snow falling outside your window, or the creations you make with it. I watch it a few times every Christmas/Winter only to make it more meaningful, special and not to mention realistic.
There is nothing like watching this film or listening to the music while watching the snow fall outside your window for real. The ending always brings me to streaming tears and to think...its only a cartoon.
The gorgeous, classic hand drawn animation that has such a soft touch timed with the enchanting score by Howard Blake astonishes me every time. The story itself and the way it is presented is breath taking to me, especially the "We're Walking in the Air" scene, so magical, so beautiful.
That song has meant so much to me through the years, I got the piano sheet music when I lived in England and learned to adore like never before and becoming ever so much more familiar with it. Then when Celtic Woman released their first album with that song on it, my love for it was fueled even more.
..I could go on forever telling about this lovely story...so classic, so meaningful. Especially the fact that it is all done with music and absolutely no talking, besides the gorgeous lyrics in "We're Walking in the Air.
" I hope every gets the chance to see this and be touched by it :).
