Review of Snowden (2016) by Nicholas E — 14 Sep 2016
Oliver Stone is able to brilliantly expose the side of Snowden not portrayed by the media. As the guy who wanted to serve his country and do the right thing, but realized his country wasn't serving its citizens.
.. but only themselves, often for economic and social superiority to other nations. Joseph-Gordon Levitt entirely embraced Snowden's persona, personality, and even minor quirks, giving the best performance I've seen so far this year.
Doing a movie based on something still so new and relevant to politics today was a risk, but it paid off.
