Review of Snowden (2016) by Adelmo S — 14 Sep 2016
As a political junkie, I loved it. The script is intelligent and does a pretty good job of illustrating why we should care about what Snowden did. Joseph Gordon- Levitt is terrific, and Rhys Ifans (who gets the best dialogue) is a standout in an eclectic and effective cast.
At 2 1/2 hours, it could have been cut by about half of the Shailene Woodley scenes, but I guess the love story will draw more audiences than the brainy, historical drama will.
