Review of Snowden (2016) by Tiny T — 01 Oct 2016
Snowden is an amazing individual, and his story not only deserves to be told, but *needs* to be told. This, however, was not as effective as the HBO documentary, Citizenfour.
The film pulls a lot of punches in some respects, and lets loose in others. For example: Stone has no issue attacking Obama for being a corporatist sellout, but refuses to acknowledge the media wide effort to smear Snowden via MSNBC, CNN, and other alleged "liberal" news organizations.
Also - Woodley's character Can. Not. Stop. Bitching.
Literally 1/3 of this movie is her complaining. Very tough to sit through.
