Review of Snowden (2016) by Josh A — 29 Nov 2016
It certainly doesn't beat watching Citizenfour and seeing it all play out as it happened, so it's fairly unnecessary, although Gordon-Levitt fits the role better than I expected. It isn't without its moments of clarity even if it does lack the bite of the actual documentary, and it's sometimes bogged down by Stone's tendency towards over-dramatization.
Also, minus an extra half star for reminding me that Nicolas Cage still exists.
