JGL gives a strong performance as the lead character. The story itself doesn't peel back the onion enough to tell the audience more about Snowden's experience and the dark network associated with finding/creating terrorists using digital data.
The movie is often quite cheeky and sappy; I expected something more hard hitting and without Snowden's love story.
