Review of Snowden (2016) by John A — 14 Sep 2016
Five stars given the even handedness and importance of the subject matters...privacy, control of global infrastructure, and the psy-ops that makes the public and congress buy some of it. Great performance by Levitt, Woodley and others.
Interesting that several of the government agents came across as shady operators who clearly operate above the law. Snowden and Stone still seem hopeful in the face of an increasingly dark environment.
This film will hep spark some outrage. Outrage that usually lasts until the next ballgame. I'm sure many people will put a band-aid on their laptops telescreen, I mean camera. The little guy, thats us, got a punch thrown in.
..yea. I don't know exactly why Stone didn't make it more hard hitting. He easily could have.
