Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Nina S — 09 Apr 2012
Hard to get any more magical than this. His (Disney's, Walt) first, maybe his best.
Bit of trivia, Walt and entourage (his brother Ron and buddy UB Iwerks) invented a 3 level process camera system to shoot this movie to give it "depth.".
Trivia: Disney hired then 15 year old Adrianna Caselotti to be Snow's voice and she was under strict contract to never sing for another role again (which she didn't). Snow's voice was to be unique to her character forever. And Prince Charming was sung by Harry Stockwell, the operatist, and father of future stars, Guy and Dean Stockwell.
