Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Maddalena B — 07 Dec 2010
I truly believe this film to be one of the most timeless films ever made (second only to The Wizard of Oz.) One would expect the first feature length animated film ever made to be more crude and rudimentary, but Disney achieved such perfection with Snow White (in the realms of animation, story telling, art direction and the successful combination of all the ingredients of a good film) that it is still the animated film against which all others must be compared.
Before its release, Snow White was known as Disney's folly; now, nearly 75 years later, it's known as his great masterpiece.
