Disney's first major animated motion picture has dated incredibly well. Given that it's going on 80 years old, the animation looks down right incredible still.

Coming from a much simpler time when all that was required for a girl to fall in love with you was saying hello followed by a short bit of serenading, Snow White is just one of Disney's takes on the familiar tale of evil family members holding the virtuous down before they are helped along to happily ever after by an assortment of odd ball characters. It's all good fun with enough giggles thrown in from the dwarves to raise smiles in between all the animals singing, which admittedly gets a bit dull after a while.

The film also encompasses Disney's dark side with the wicked queen, one of Disney's best and most cut throat of villains. Even after so long, her transformations and machinations are scary enough to send a chill down the spine.

For such a short feature, Snow White is jam packed with a good set of characters and maybe a few too many musical numbers. More dwarf related humour would have been appreciated but this is a decent, fun, family movie which is likely to still look just as good in another 80 years time.
