Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Marla N — 08 Apr 2011
I forgot how cute this movie was! I only watched it once when I was a small child. It's never been one of my fav Disney films. To me, "Cinderella", "Sleeping Beauty", and "Snow White" are all very similar and I used to get them all mixed up when I was little.
I actually think "Snow White" scared me, esp. the wicked ole' Queen. What the heck was her problem anyway? Snow White was way hotter AND younger than she was. She seriously needed to get over herself.
Anyways, all the little forest animals and dwarfs were just cute as pie! I've always thought the lil' dwarfs were funny, esp. Dopey & Grumpy. I'm not very fond of the songs tho. They just sound really.
.well, old. Plus, whoever ever did the voice of Snow White was a little too high pitched for me. Hm. Oh well, this movie is quite sweet AND I'm quite glad the ugly ole' witch got what she deserved! (Although in the original Grimm's fairytale it was a quite different) Oh well, like I've said before.
.everything needs to be a little Disneyfied every now & then. :) Overall, this is a great Disney classic that everyone should have in their collection.
