Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Jeffrey M — 19 Feb 2013
"Disney's Folly" turned to be "Disney's Holly"! Okay, that was cheesy, but it's very true. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has conquered the test of time, continuously delighting audiences for seventy-five years.
Through extensive restoration the animation is still vibrant and flowing, and the glorious score strikes the senses as it did nearly a century ago. The fact that the music is in a 1930s fashion adds to the film's timeless elegance, further showcasing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as a beacon of the Golden Era of Hollywood and cinema itself!
