Review of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) by Grant S — 19 Dec 2015
Nearly a century later, the art of animation has reached new heights that, during the time of the 'fairest one of all,' were unimaginable. And yet, not once does "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" feel limited in any way.
Though I can only imagine the impact it had upon its initial release (and I've heard plenty on the subject), I can personally say that the movie continues to dazzle and delight me as much as it did when I was first introduced to it circa 1993.
The art, the music, the story and its characters all retain their appeal and prove that at the core of any successful film, regardless of the available technology, what stands a chance against time is not the technical as much as the creative.
