This retelling of the classic tale of Snow White features imaginative visual effects and a stunning performance by Charlize Theron. Her approach on "The Evil Queen" was pleasant to watch and the relationship with her brother gives her a spark of humanity.
The movie keeps the dark and sinister feeling that can be found in the early versions of the fairy tale but the overall story telling fails to impress.
