Definitely NOT Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, this is a much darker affair than Disney's take on the famous fairy-tale, and is also actually quite a bit better than I was expecting.

While I'm not so sure about Kristen Stewart's Snow White, Chris Hemsworth proves that he is always good value for money, and Charlize Theron is disturbingly effective at playing the Evil Queen who - in the extended version at least (I don't know about the theatrical) - is given both a name and a cursory back-story. There's also a strong debt owed to the like of the 'Lord of the Rings' films in some of the visual shots!
