Review of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) by Mark P — 15 Jun 2013
Visually arresting (really very great), cliched (hey, that's fairy tales), a little contrived and customised for a contemporary fan-boy sort of audience (ie a competent attempt to cash-in a the current look and feel, wowing with visual effects).
Kristen Stewart in the amour - hmmm, kind of like a custom-burger for the fan-boys (I kept thinking of her fine performance in the Runaways and was not so impressed by this performance) - Chalize and Chris are almost like very attractive tradespeople doing a job in a motion picture.
The wicked queen's back story might have needed some more detail. Nice shots of coastal Britain.
