I think the original vision for this film was pretty good, but the execution falls short. It seems confused over what kind of film it is meant to be (gritty or fairy tale), often over acting is thrown in all over the place.
Plus, what does the CGI faces of famous actors turned into dwarfs provide over short actors? On the plus side, it is visually beautiful in places.
