Review of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) by Aaron O — 31 Mar 2013
Snow White and the Huntsman is a visual trill, and has a high concept for the dark take of Snow White, and I found it enjoyable altogether, but the film is put too shame by the acting. Kristen Stewart is good with more moody rolls but she just can't pull off Snow White.
Chris Hemsworth is a good actor and has made that clear in Avengers and Thor, and the role of the Huntsman is similar to Thor, but somehow he managed to make a muck of it, and that did surprise me. Charlize Theron however is very good and creepy and she plays her roll well.
I really wish they would've picked better leads because this is a high concept film that could've been great.
