Review of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) by James A — 12 Sep 2013
A visually effective film with plenty of entertaining action. Let down slightly by a flat and one dimensional performance by Kirsten Stewart, and Chris Hemsworth was largely anonymous as the Huntsman. However Charlize Theron steals the show with a thoroughly convincing portrayal of the evil witch, and is ably supported in her wicked schemes by her incestuous brother, played by Peter Ferdinando (I think).
A good attempt at an update on a popular fairy tale, but could have been just a little bit better.
