Review of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) by Roisin D — 13 Dec 2013
I started watching this, and it was not too bad until the huntsman showed up. I had no idea who the actor was, but was at first fascinated at the accent(s) he struggled with - he seemed to be trying to be Scottish but there were a few others in there fighting to break through.
I discovered he is actually Australian - if he had spoken in his normal voice, and didn't mumble quite a bit, I might have been able to watch the film with enjoyment. Sadly, I was so appalled that he had been allowed to make such a mess of it, that I gave up before the end.
Why not just hire an English (or Scottish?) actor? Charlize Theron was great as Ravenna, by the way.
